Wes Butterfield
Associate Vice President
Wes Butterfield has been a consultant with Noel-Levitz for more than eight years, serving more than 30 campuses across the United States during his tenure with the firm. His consulting career has afforded him the opportunity to work with small and large four-year public and private campuses. His primary focus has been assisting campuses with achieving enrollment and net revenue goals through the strategic use of financial assistance, increasing the effectiveness of student recruitment through ForecastPlus™ predictive modeling, and optimizing their enrollment management efforts.
Mr. Butterfield has helped his campuses achieve results such as:
- A 13.6 percent increase in enrollment over five years for a campus in the upper Midwest. During this time the academic profile of the institution steadily increased, and average net revenue per student rose 10.8 percent.
- A healthy 7.1 percent increase in fall 2011 for a campus on the East coast. This was the third year in a row this institution hit its enrollment and net revenue targets.
- Over a five-year period the net tuition revenue for a campus-partner increased 25.8 percent while enrollment steadily increased.
Previous campus experience
Before coming to Noel-Levitz, Mr. Butterfield served as director of admission for Cornell College. His primary responsibilities included supervising the admissions staff and assisting with the development, creation and execution of the overall recruitment plan. During his tenure at Cornell the admissions staff stopped a three-year decline in entering student enrollment. Further accomplishments included creating the college's first comprehensive recruitment plan and revamping the scholarship program to provide greater access to the college for students and their families. His 15 years of on-campus higher education experience was spent in enrollment management at Cornell College (IA) and in college advancement at both Cornell College and the University of Iowa Foundation.
Education
Mr. Butterfield is a graduate of Cornell College and holds an MA from the University of Iowa.
