Noel-Levitz consultant Tim TheinAs senior vice president, Tim Thein oversees corporate development for Noel-Levitz. He also leads the technical services for financial aid and predictive modeling, statistical modeling, and information technology areas for the company.

Mr. Thein has been a key figure in crafting and implementing new business development through partnership, acquisition, and product development. Recently, he spearheaded the development of the TrueCost Calculator and the acquisition of DMX-Direct, the Noel-Levitz subsidiary that delivers direct marketing services for Noel-Levitz Direct. He has applied predictive modeling to student recruitment and retention, helping institutions pinpoint which prospective students are likely to enroll and which enrolled students are at risk of dropping out. He has guided the application of predictive modeling to analyzing the default risk of students with loans. His areas of expertise also include systems development, statistical research, new technologies management, staff training and development, and computing.

Mr. Thein has worked directly with several student loan and guarantor companies in analyzing repayment and default behavior. Additionally, he has consulted with campuses that use ForecastPlus™ and Student Retention Predictor™. He has worked with more than 100 campuses, including DeVry University (TX), Pima County Community College (AZ), Art Center College of Design (CA), University of Texas at Austin, College of Charleston (SC), New England Institute of Technology (FL), Jackson State University (MS), and Clark Atlanta University (GA).

Education

Mr. Thein holds an MBA from the University of Colorado.
