Scott Pohlson
Associate Consultant
Scott Pohlson consults for Noel-Levitz from his position as dean of enrollment at the University of South Dakota. He offers experience in student recruitment strategies, strategic financial aid awarding, and using predictive modeling to improve the efficiency of campus admissions.
Mr. Pohlson has consulted with a diverse range of public and private campuses, including Oklahoma Baptist University, Dominican University of California, West Virginia University, Texas Tech University, and Ohio Dominican University.
Campus experience
Before his current position, Mr. Pohlson served as a full-time consultant for Noel-Levitz. Prior to coming to Noel-Levitz, he was assistant director of admissions at Creighton University (NE). He helped develop a recruitment strategy which led to a 15 percent increase in applications. His efforts helped the university enroll its fourth largest class while also increasing the yield rate to 32 percent, the highest among all Jesuit institutions at that time. He also served in admissions at Coe College (IA), managing recruitment for four state territories. He helped Coe increase its freshman ACT scores by a point as well as enrollment by 8 percent.
